The
SIStoCMSAPI Windows based program is short for "Student Information
System to Course Information System Application Program Interface". The SIStoCMSAPI program is designed to |

transfer (or exchange) student and course data from student enrollment
systems to online course management software systems, thus eliminating
massive
double data entry and the possibility of creating additional keying
errors.
Procedurally, SIStoCMSAPI receives an import file, creates a
reformatted export file, runs the CMS command file to load the data
into the CMS system, and creates a historical record of the whole
process. |

To get started using the program, one must tell the
program where the CMS Command File is located, where the
Import Files will be located, and where the History Files will be
stored. All these file locations are mandatory to run the SIStoCMS
program
and it will not run without them.

Once the file locations are defined, the SIStoCMSAPI program can be
run by clicking on the Run API button.
The SIStoCMSAPI program has the ability to filter the courses to be
loaded based upon a Paid Flag. The SIStoCMSAPI program can be set to
automatically run using the AutoRun function.
As the SIStoCMSAPI program is running a Status Bar, located at the
bottom of the window, displays messages explaining the status of the
SIStoCMS API program.
